About the Journal

Machine Intelligence for Societal Advancement (MIoSA) (ISSN: XXXX) published by Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES). This journal is an open access peer-reviewed journal based in Indonesia that has been published since 2026 officially thrice a year (March, July and November).

Machine Intelligence for Societal Advancement (MIoSA) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to the global exchange of knowledge in the field of intelligent systems. The journal invites scientists, engineers, and practitioners worldwide to disseminate theoretical and practice-oriented research that leverages machine intelligence to address the most pressing challenges of modern society.

Technical Scope MIoSA focuses on the synergy between fundamental computational techniques and their practical implications. The technical scope includes, but is not limited to: Machine Learning & Soft Computing, Data Mining & Big Data Analytics, Computer Vision & Pattern Recognition, and Natural Language Processing.

Application and Societal Impact We prioritize research that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national strategic priorities (Asta Cita), focusing on the following areas:

  • Agri-Food & Resource Security: Smart systems for precision agriculture, food sovereignty, sustainable energy, and water management.
  • Human Capital Development: AI in transformative education, health informatics for equitable healthcare, and talent-matching systems.
  • Industrial Transformation: Industrial AI for economic downstreaming, SME (UMKM) empowerment, and predictive maintenance.
  • Transparent Governance: Explainable AI (XAI) for public policy, automated fraud detection, and digital bureaucracy.
  • Environmental Harmony: AI for climate change mitigation, biodiversity monitoring, and circular economy.

To maintain the highest scholarly standards, all submissions must meet the following criteria:

  • Manuscripts must be written in English to be considered for the initial editorial screening.
  • Papers that pass the preliminary editor review will undergo a rigorous evaluation process by a minimum of three independent reviewers.
